Reporting to the IT & Digital Practice Lead and collaborating with business, IT, and vendor stakeholders, the Temenos Test Lead will plan, coordinate, and oversee all testing activities related to Temenos Transact and its surrounding interfaces. The role ensures that changes to the core banking platform (projects, releases, patches, parameter changes) are tested in line with Project Management, IT Change Management, and Software & Application Security frameworks. Quality, stability, and regulatory requirements, including digital operational resilience expectations, must be met before deployment to production.

Job Description

  • Define and maintain the Temenos testing strategy (functional, integration, regression, UAT, non-functional) and prepare test plans for releases, projects, and change requests, including scope, timelines, environments, entry/exit criteria, and resources.
  • Coordinate the design and maintenance of test cases for Temenos modules and interfaces, ensuring coverage of business processes, regulatory requirements (suitability, tax, AML, reporting), IT controls, security, and data integrity.
  • Lead SIT, regression, UAT, and relevant non-functional testing, coordinating business, IT, and vendor participation and ensuring test evidence is documented and stored in designated tools.
  • Manage the defect lifecycle (logging, triage, prioritization, assignment, retesting, closure), assess impact and residual risk, and provide go/no-go recommendations for Temenos deployments.
  • Support Change Managers and Service/Product Owners in preparing changes for CAB/eCAB approval, providing testing status, risk assessment, and post-deployment checks, in compliance with environment segregation and testing requirements.
  • Act as primary contact for Temenos testing topics with business units, IT teams, and vendors, and report regularly on test progress, defects, risks, and readiness to project and governance bodies.
  • Ensure adherence to Project Management, IT Change Management, Information Security, and Data Governance standards, and drive improvements in test processes, automation, environments, and tools.
  • Ensure testing supports operational resilience expectations, including failover, backup, and recovery scenarios in Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery tests, and support audit, risk, and control testing with documentation and evidence.
  • Contribute to the planning and optimization of testing resources (internal staff, external consultants, environments) and provide input to project budgets.
  • Act as Temenos Testing SME in major transformation programs (upgrades, platform migrations, new country roll-outs) and in incident or crisis situations, supporting resolution with test-based analysis and validation.
  • Participate in vendor evaluations and proofs of concept for Temenos-related tools (test automation, data masking, environment management).

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience; Master’s degree in IT, Finance, or Business is appreciated.
  • Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience in IT testing, with at least 5 years focused on Temenos Transact (T24) in core banking implementation/upgrade projects and multi-entity environments.
  • Background in financial services, preferably Private Banking and Wealth Management.
  • In-depth knowledge of Temenos Transact Wealth / Private Banking modules (client and portfolio management, equities, bonds, funds, structured products, corporate actions, income processing, fees/charges, order management, execution flows).
  • Strong understanding of Temenos position-keeping and valuation for discretionary, advisory, and execution-only relationships.
  • Experience testing suitability/appropriateness and investment restrictions (product eligibility, risk profiling, investment limits) in line with wealth management regulations.
  • Experience with Temenos Wealth interfaces (portfolio/advisory tools, market/order routing, custodians, pricing providers, tax and regulatory reporting) and parameterization (product setup, pricing, portfolio strategies, benchmarks, model portfolios, fees).
  • Ability to design and maintain end-to-end test scenarios for wealth processes (account/portfolio opening, investment order lifecycle, corporate actions, income events, fee/commission charging, Lombard lending).

  • Project management or agile certifications (e.g. PMI, Scrum) are a plus.
  • Fluent command of English.
